When she heard the announcement from Muang Khang village chief, Ms Kiewsavanh immediately wanted to apply. The budget obtained from the fund allowed her to build a room to store its basketry and a pleasant space in front of her house to present it to tourists.

Kiewsavanh’s showroom is superbly located on the banks of the Mekong, a 5-minute walk from the Muang Khang temple. Soon, visitors who wish will also be able to benefit from her smile and expertise by learning how to make basketry objects.
