From Vat Phou to Pottery: When Heritage Inspires Craftsmanship
“Thanks to the support of the CHAMPA project, I was able to improve my kiln, build a small workshop for my pottery and buy new equipment to work more precisely. Now, everything is easier and more comfortable for me, and I can produce more pieces for visitors.”
Ms. Soulivanh has been making pottery for more than 10 years. His shop started small and gradually grew over time, but limited equipment made it difficult to expand his activity, a challenge that was addressed by the CHAMPA Project.
Today, visitors can discover a wide variety of handmade pottery inspired by Angkor and Vat Phou motifs, available in many different shapes and sizes. Created with passion, the smaller pieces make perfect souvenirs to bring home from Champasak!
