Soudchai has many years’ experience as a tuk-tuk driver. 30 years ago, he was already transporting customers, locals and tourists alike, on his rickshaw. With COVID-19, the business almost came to a complete halt. Lacking income, Soudchai could no longer afford to repair his ageing tuk-tuk. When he heard about the call for projects, he realised that this was his chance to get back on his feet.
